Dr. Zain Virk’s abstract, “Clinical Characteristics and Outcomes in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation and Pathogenic TTN Variants,” was selected for presentation at the 2024 Heart Rhythm Society’s Scientific Sessions in Boston.
Dr. Virk’s research highlights the clinical outcomes for people with TTN variants that are important to impress upon clinicians: people with disease-correlated TTN variants have a higher chance of needing multiple ablations and of progressing to permanent AFib than those who do not have any genetic variants. This work takes an important step toward precision care for people with TTN variants.
