Brief Description

Christopher “Chris” Roach currently serves as a Clinical Trials Associate I in Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s division of Nephrology. Chris joined the research group in the Spring of 2021, a few months after completing his B.S. in Molecular Biology at Lipscomb University. He is driven by his deep-seated nature of empathy, interest in the field of medicine, and personality of facing challenges head-on. Chris is involved in a variety of tasks, across multiple studies, with focuses that include peer mentorship among maintenance hemodialysis patients, cognitive behavioral therapy for pain management in the setting of maintenance hemodialysis, and identification of risk factors for worsened age-related decline in chronic kidney disease patients.
