Dr. Dodd died December 18, 2010. Dr. Dodd was involved in the development of the Center for Professional Health and our continuing medical education programs for physicians. Dr. Dodd was an instructor in our courses for many years. He was an Associate Professor in Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical School. Dr. Dodd was instrumental in the formation of the Federation of State Physician Health Programs, a national organization dedicated to physician health. Dr. Dodd was one of the first physicians credentialed in Addiction Medicine. Among many honors was the William C. Menninger Medal for Achievement in Mental Health awarded by the American College of Physicians in 1998.
