The Cahill lab received a Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (VICTR) award to study Platelets, inflammation and thrombosis: Unraveling the promise of the GLP-1 receptor. Capitalizing on an ongoing clinical trial of a GLP-1 receptor agonists in pre-diabetic, this award will investigate the impact of GLP-1 receptor agonists on in vivo platelet activation over the next year.
