Fubiao Shi, PhD

Fubiao Shi, PhD, has a long-term research interest in obesity and cardiometabolic disease with a focus on understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms and identifying disease-modifying strategies. His postdoctoral work has shown the metabolic effects of cardiac natriuretic peptides and salt-inducible kinase inhibitors in adipose tissue. These basic research findings not only provided new insight into adipose tissue biology but also revealed the potential targets for the intervention of cardiovascular disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes and related metabolic disorders.
