Honored to have attended the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) conference in London earlier this month! It was an incredible opportunity for our Myocardial Ischemia and Transfusion (MINT) Team to present not one, but four presentations on our ongoing research with the MINT Study.
As stated in our earlier posts, our work with MINT centers around the distinct pathophysiological differences between Type 1 and Type 2 myocardial infarction (MI) and examines whether these MI subtypes respond differently to blood transfusion. This is a critical area of study as it has the potential to impact clinical decision-making and patient outcomes in those with acute MI and anemia.
Presenting our findings at such a prestigious conference was a privilege, and we are grateful for the valuable feedback and discussions that followed. Thank you to the ESC community for the warm reception and to everyone who has supported our research journey.
