Mohd Mabood Khan, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from Jamia Millia Islamia and a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Lucknow, India.

His research focuses on understanding how excessive sodium intake influences myeloid cell–specific Keap1-Nrf2 signaling, antigen-presenting cell activation, and their contribution to salt-sensitive hypertension. In parallel, he is investigating how renal lymphatic ligation alters renal immune cell profiles and drives end-organ damage.

Dr. Khan’s long-term research interests lie at the intersection of vascular biology, immunology, and pathophysiology. He aims to address fundamental mechanisms underlying hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases, ultimately contributing to improved therapeutic strategies.
