Professional bio
Bettina Gentry received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2005 from The Ohio State University. She went on to complete a residency in Comparative Medicine and obtained her PhD in 2010 from the University of Missouri.  While in Missouri Bettina studied skeletal muscle in a mouse model of Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a brittle bone disease in humans due to a genetic defect in type I collagen. In the Stafford lab she studied the glycogen synthesis pathway and VLDL metabolism in the liver. Dr. Gentry is currently a consultant at the research animal diagnostic lab(RADIL) at the University of Missouri.
