Professional bio
My research interests: Research and clinical interest in thoracic oncology, primarily lung nodule diagnosis, biomarkers for early detection of lung cancer and radiomics. Also interested in pragmatic clinical trials in early detection of lung cancer and diagnostic interventions.

Why I chose VUMC for fellowship: I chose VUMC because of the strong clinical training, research opportunities and mentorship. VUMC is one of the major academic centers in the state of Tennessee and thus allows for exposure to a wide variety of pathology in our pulmonary clinics and ICU. At VUMC we perform all our ICU procedures including chest tubes and intubation, and we have a busy IP service which provides ample opportunities to perform advanced bronchoscopy and pleural procedures. From a research standpoint, there are endless options in almost all areas of pulmonary and critical care medicine with robust NIH and industry funding. There are T32s available for those who would like to pursue additional research training including additional degrees.
