Why I chose VUMC for Fellowship: Vanderbilt gave me the opportunity to achieve what I wanted from a fellowship. I love clinical work and want to be extremely well trained both in pulmonary and critical care medicine. I'm also passionate and fascinated by the long-term outcomes of critical illness, and how we can improve not just mortality in the ICU but quality of life after the ICU. It would be hard to imagine an institution with more resources and support to achieve these goals. Outside the hospital, Nashville is an amazing place to live that brought me much closer geographically to my four siblings and parents who are spread around the region.
