Matthew A. Christensen, MD

Matthew Christensen, MD, was an engineering major in college and since then, has gradually built an interest in informatics, clinical decision support, and pulmonary infections. His research is just getting off the ground with support from collaborators between EM and PCCM, with Mike Ward and Matt Semler as mentors.

He choose VUMC for fellowship as it uniquely combines excellent hands-on clinical training with equally excellent research opportunities, in general, and specifically in clinical informatics. Dr. Christensen plans to pursue a 4th year T32 research fellowship to complete a Masters in Clinical Informatics.
