Her research interests are focused on understanding how imaging techniques can serve as biomarkers of disease activity and facilitate effective care to those with autoimmune diseases.

Tracy Frech, MD, MSCI, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt Health and holds the Wilson Family Chair in Medicine. Her primary goal in research and clinical care is early diagnosis and effective health care delivery to the systemic sclerosis (SSc) patient population.

Michelle Ormseth, MD, MSCI, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt Health and holds the Rheumatology Clinical Research Directorship. She is a physician-scientist with research interest in 1) cardiovascular disease in patients with rheumatic diseases and 2) small RNAs as biomarkers and modifiers of disease in patients with rheumatic diseases.
