Vision Statement
The vision of the Vanderbilt Small Airways Pathology Research Group is to diagnose and treat small airways disease before symptoms develop.
To advance this vision, we maintain a broad research portfolio that includes everything from clinical studies focused on developing novel imaging biomarkers to mechanistic in vitro and in vivo experiments aimed at developing novel therapeutics.

VUMC adds X-ray velocimetry scanner to better detect lung dysfunction
The first dedicated research X-ray velocimetry machine in North America was installed in Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science.
