Milad Matta, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As a vascular medicine specialist, he has expertise in noninvasive vascular imaging and medical management of the complex vascular complications that arise from systemic sclerosis.
Dr. Matta's clinical interests are lymphedema, lipedema, chronic venous insufficiency, VTE and anticoagulation, medical management of peripheral artery disease and carotid artery disease. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Vascular Medicine and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Matta's clinical research focuses on cardiac and vascular disease. He has coauthored papers and abstracts on this research published in leading peer-reviewed journals regarding stress testing, abdominal aortic aneurysms, mitral and tricuspid valve disease. He has presented research abstracts and posters at national medical meetings, including American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association, and international meeting including European Society of Cardiology. He also coauthored book chapters on peripheral artery disease and carotid artery disease.
