Over the past two decades, Dr. Kim's research career has successfully broadened within the topics of chemistry, biophysics, computational biology, and bioinformatics, which have collectively positioned him uniquely as a life-science computational data scientist. He specializes in the development of advanced cyber-infrastructure, primarily leveraging high-performance computing, cloud computing, distributed computing, and state-of-the-art web techniques. Dr. Kim actively pursues effective solutions for challenging life science applications with statistical/machine learning techniques and Big Data scale genomics/biomedical research. He has a life-long dedication to this challenge, i.e., an integrative multi-omics approach for genotype-phenotype relationship by amalgamating such multi-disciplinary strategies.
