Aldrich Lab overview
The goal of the Aldrich Lab is to conduct cutting-edge research to advance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of lung cancer for all populations.
We use epidemiologic study design, statistical analysis, and data science methods to (1) understand genetic, social, and environmental factors contributing to lung cancer and (2) to address lung cancer screening access.
We are a nationally and internationally recognized lung cancer research program conducting broad multi-disciplinary and translational research.
Our work has received support from National Cancer Institute, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, Department of Defense, industry, and lung cancer foundations.

Research
We strive to understand the factors that influence lung cancer risk and health outcomes.
Community Engagement
We collaborate with communities to share our research findings and inform our research priorities.
Our Team
Dr. Melinda Aldrich leads a team of Vanderbilt staff and students focused on addressing lung cancer.
