Dr. Lidani's research focuses on projects with myocardial injury subtypes, using the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA) cohort. She is responsible for designing a system with the NIH MESA Data Coordinating Center (DCC) to effectively manage and assign cardiovascular study events for physician adjudication, gathering automated cardiac enzyme graphs, clinical data and lab works. Additionally, she is responsible for ensuring quality control and conducting statistical analysis for the systematic classification of myocardial injury and infarction based on their pathobiology. She performs statistical analysis for additional MESA ancillary studies, which includes examining the factors that influence angiotensinogen levels and investigating atherothrombotic biomarkers linked to stroke related to atrial fibrillation (AF).

Dr. Lidani is involved in the Selatogrel Outcome Study in Suspected Acute Myocardial Infarction (SOS-AMI) trial, a project centered around screening patients with type 1 MI.
