My work focuses on understanding how the Pdx1 and Oc1 transcription factors regulate beta cell specification cooperatively. For this purpose, I use high-resolution 3D imaging to understand the developmental phenotype of animals globally heterozygous for Pdx1 and Oc1, and Next-Generation sequencing techniques to explore the possible alternations of the epigenetic landscape associated with the developmental phenotype.
