Kristie Borgman, MD is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist with advanced training in non-invasive imaging. She cares for admitted patients at Medical City Children’s Hospital and sees out-patients at Medical City Children’s Cardiology Specialists clinic both in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Borgman became fascinated with cardiac physiology in medical school and this interest grew as she cared for children with complex heart disease in residency. This prompted her desire to become a pediatric cardiologist. Dr. Borgman has a particular interest in structural heart disease with a clinical focus on fetal echocardiography and long-term management of the complex disease that is diagnosed in the womb. She also focuses on in-patient post-operative care in the cardiac step-down unit. Her passion is providing care that she would want her own children to receive. Dr. Borgman earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. She remained at Vanderbilt to complete her fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology which included additional training in non-invasive imaging.
