Matthew Fleming, MD, PhD

Matt was raised in a small town south of Buffalo, NY, and received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo in Biochemistry. After graduation from college, he enrolled in a doctoral program in Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University, where his dissertation research focused on the genetic and biophysical basis of epilepsy and intellectual disability. After completing his PhD, he completed his MD at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Matt plans to pursue a career in academic medicine with a focus on cardiovascular disease.
