Pia Arrate, BS

Pia Arrate, received the BS in Biochemistry from U.C.V. in Chile. Her first lab experience in the U.S. was at University of Alabama at Birmingham. After three years in Alabama, she spent a decade working for a biotech in Houston. She returned to academia and has been at Vanderbilt in three different Labs, working close to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows since 2003. She joined to Dr. Savona in 2016 to study myeloid disease and the effect of new drugs using different techniques and assays with cell lines and our repository of patient samples.
