Elizabeth Davis, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. After receiving her BS in biology from Duke University, she worked at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism where she honed her interest in the role of genetic polymorphisms affecting susceptibility to illness, as well as response to treatment. She then attended medical school at Wright State University where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Davis completed her internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan where she received the Kenneth Stark House Officer research award, as well as two American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) merit awards for research posters at the ASCO annual meeting.
Dr. Davis' primary clinical interest is the care of patients with soft tissue and bone sarcoma. Her research interests include developing novel therapeutic regimens for sarcoma patients, conducting early phase clinical trials, and individualizing patient care. She is an active member of ASCO, the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS), and the Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration (SARC).
