Kathryn Beckermann, MD, PhD

As a physician-scientist, Dr. Beckerman’s clinical and research interest is in the growing field of immuno-oncology. At the bench, her focus is to identify how the tumor microenvironment alters T cell function important to the therapeutic efficacy of checkpoint inhibitor therapy. She plans to use these discoveries to target metabolic deficits and try to identify biologic correlates predictive of response to immunotherapy.
