Professional bio

Michael Hall is a B.S. candidate in biology pre-med with a minor in engineering, expected to graduate in May 2024. He currently attends Oakwood University and has worked under the leadership of Dr. Melissa Simmonds in researching various aspects of circadian rhythms and behavioral analysis. His research has focused on maternal behavior and understanding the effects that different light cycles have on pregnant women, newborns, and children up until adulthood. Hall has co-authored one paper with Dr. Simmonds.

Since joining the Woodard lab in June of 2022, Hall has studied the possible mechanisms of cell culturing induced nephron progenitors cells within a 3D culture. He has experience in cell culturing techniques, staining, microscopy, image quantification and analysis, and illustration for research infographics.
