Stephan Bierenga's role within research focuses primarily on cohort development, clinical cardiology, cardiovascular epidemiology, and acute myocardial infarction (MI) under the direction of Dr. Andrew DeFilippis.
Prior to his current role as a program manager working under Dr. DeFilippis, Bierenga'a background consisted of pre-clinical research focusing predominately on rare diseases. Now, he helps organize and accelerate the research that the DeFilippis lab produces, most of which focuses on acute myocardial infarction (MI) as well as cardiovascular epidemiology.
