Jonah Garry, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a physician-scientist with a primary research focus on the epidemiology and molecular mechanisms of pulmonary vascular disease and right ventricular dysfunction.
Through his work to date, Dr. Garry has characterized the incidence and patient characteristics associated with pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular dysfunction among patients referred for echocardiography. His ongoing research aims to derive novel mechanistic insights from clinical datasets and tissue biobanks, with translation of these discoveries through prospective physiologic studies and clinical trials.
