Clinical Activities

This research program is paired with an outpatient clinical drug allergy service that occurs weekly at the Vanderbilt Allergy and Sinus Program (2611 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN). This clinic provides specialized advice and testing for patients who have serious immunologically mediated adverse drug reactions. Its primary goal is to give patients and their families education and advice on their drug-induced disease and to provide them with the safest drug options. This clinic utilizes specific testing techniques such as skin testing and patch testing. This clinic pairs with the research arm of the program, and patients and their families will be given genetic information and will be consented to donate other samples such as blood and skin to advance the science, diagnosis, and prevention of these serious immunologically mediated adverse drug reactions.
