The Vanderbilt Clinic

The Dermatology outpatient clinic at The Vanderbilt Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission to the Dermatology inpatient service is arranged by the attending physician after consultation with the patient. Appointments and consultations may be made by calling the clinic office at (615) 322-6485. Extensions of the General Dermatology service are now available at Vanderbilt Medical Group at Shelbyville and Franklin, as well as Pediatric Dermatology services at our Belle Meade location. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Nashville, Tennessee provides comprehensive dermatological care for our veteran patients. In addition to four General Dermatology Clinics held each week, the Dermatology Section provides expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment including the evaluation of pigmented lesions. Specialized treatments are available including Ultraviolet Light treatments (UVB and PUVA), scalp treatments, whirlpool and access to advanced Mohs Micrographic Surgery. The Dermatology Section oversees the Extracorporeal Photopheresis Unit for the treatment of certain skin lymphomas, autoimmune disorders and transplant rejection syndromes.

The Dermatology Section's educational activities include the training of 3 residents in Dermatology, rotations for residents in other specialties, and hosting the Clinical Meetings of the Nashville Dermatological Society.
