Case volume has steadily increased over the years. It is anticipated that well over 2000 Mohs cases will be performed by Vanderbilt Mohs surgeons this year. In September 1998, Dr. Michel McDonald joined the Program as a full-time faculty member. In November 2007, Dr. Anna Clayton became the third full-time surgical member. In 2010, Dr. William Stebbins became a full-time faculty surgical member. In 2011, Dr. Allison Hanlon also became a full-time faculty member.  The fellow will have the opportunity to work with all the Mohs faculty during the year fellowship.

The goal of the fellowship shall be to provide the trainee with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to allow the individual to become a well-rounded dermatologic surgeon. The fellow will be provided with the tools necessary to become an academic and clinical leader. Although exposure to cosmetic procedures will be available, the focus of the fellowship is on Mohs Surgery, reconstruction and cutaneous oncology.
