Professional bio
Masako Abney is a Laboratory Manager in Dr. Peebles' lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Masako is currently responsible for assisting Dr. Norlander's research focused on the role of T cells in hypertension. Prior to her employment with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Masako was a research scientist developing homogeneous immunoassays for therapeutic drug monitoring and urine drug testing at ARK Diagnostics, Inc, headquartered in Fremont, CA. Masako was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She completed her master's degree in Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
