The Vanderbilt Diabetes Research Center is pleased to offer two new Discovery Funding Opportunities, one-year awards to jumpstart bold ideas and accelerate core-enabled science.
The Discovery Grant
$25,000 for one year
- Seed funding: Ideal for diabetes and obesity pilot studies.
- Growth: Designed to generate preliminary data to compete for larger, external awards.
- Innovation: A perfect fit for exploring new scientific directions and technology-enabled discovery.
Discovery Core Grant
$5,000-$10,000 per year, one year
- Core access: Supports the use of VDRC core services and supported methods.
- Availability: 2-3 awards typically granted annually based on available funding.
- Streamlined application: 1-2 page covering rationale, specific aims, need, and future plans.
