Professional bio

Dr. Malachowski completed medical school at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine where he was elected to the Robert A. Good Honor Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (AOA). In this role, he served as both the vice president and as the chair for the Scholarship and Endowment Committee for AOA. He then completed a residency in Dermatology at Virginia Commonwealth University where he served as a co-chief resident during his final year.

Dr. Malchowski holds both a bachelors and masters in finance, and during these programs, he served as a statistics teaching assistant while pursuing additional coursework in statistics. This background has cultivated his interests in cost-effective medical care, resident and medical student education, and statistical literacy in medicine.Clinical Interests include Atopic Dermatitis, cutaneous lymphoma, psoriasis, melanoma, squamous cell skin cancer, and basal cell skin cancer. In addition to publishing in peer-reviewed dermatology journals, such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), he has presented at the annual meeting for the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and he currently serves on the JAAD Editorial Board.
