Program Information
Overview: During this two-day workshop, participants will engage in a program directed at women in healthcare and their well-being. These interactive retreats includes topics such as stress management techniques, burnout prevention, building resiliency, mindfulness, positive psychology, goal setting, and more. Participants will learn techniques that promote wellness, joy and purpose as they embark on a journey of self-discovery to align core missions and dreams. Each session will highlight different aspects of life and career.
Objectives: After participating in this activity, leaders will:
- Compare and contrast definitions of stress, burnout, and impairment.
- Reflect on current sources of stress and burnout and potential for impairment by identifying risk factors for each.
- Discuss and use the four strategies of resiliency in practice scenarios
- Describe the burden of women physicians by sharing stories of success and challenges.
- Identify one’s value, worth, strengths, and purpose to align purpose/meaning to achieve work-life balance.
- Identify areas for change and write B-A-SMARTER goals to achieve within the next 6-8 months.
Target Audience: Women in healthcare (physicians, scientists, educators, nurses)
