Professional bio

Donald Arnold, MD, MPH, is a Professor of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and a member of the Center for Asthma Research. His research specializes in acute asthma exacerbations in children, pediatric emergency medicine, clinical prediction rules, asthma monitoring and outcome, and oximeter plethysmograph technology.

Dr. Arnold received his MD from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his pediatric internship and residency training at The University of Virginia, Charlottesville. He practiced general pediatrics before returning to fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at The University of Alabama, Birmingham. He holds a masters in public health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
