Dr. Andrew Abreo received his medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport, completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Abreo is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at LSU Health New Orleans, where he co-leads the multidisciplinary Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Clinic. He specializes in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.
Niek Achten, MD

Dr. Niek Achten received his medical degree from Utrecht University Medical Centre, Utrecht, The Netherlands, and is currently a pediatrics resident at Erasmus Medical Center, The Netherlands. He also completed an infectious diseases research fellowship at the Academic Pediatric Center Suriname, Paramaribo, Suriname, South America. Dr. Achten’s research focuses on neonatal prediction models for sepsis, and he continues to collaborate with the Center for Asthma Research Group.

She completed her undergraduate medical training at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Pediatric Residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, and a General Academic Pediatrics Research Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a recipient of the Parker B. Francis Fellowship Program in Pulmonary Medicine.

Dr. Xinqing Deng is now a Senior Statistical Programmer with Amgen.
She received her M.D. and M.P.H. from Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China. After completing a research fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she subsequently worked as a research specialist and programmer in Statistical Research for Vanderbilt and the State of Tennessee.

She received her Ph.D. in statistics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. She joined the Center for Asthma Research in 2015, as a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Pingsheng Wu on causal inference using observational data to address questions related to asthma.
