Pat Simon, RN, BSN – RNSIII

Pat Simon BSN, completed the LPN program at Reid State Technical College in Alabama and worked as an LPN for 18 years before returning to school at Cumberland University to obtain her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2015. In 2013, she was nominated, by her physicians and peers, and received the Vanderbilt LPN of the Year award for her dedication and service to her patients.

Simon came to the Center for Asthma Research's INSPIRE study from her position as a clinic nurse with the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinics. In her previous position, she saw firsthand the positive impact of research on patients’ lives and knew she wanted to be involved in research and making a difference.
