Professional bio
Talissa Blackshere, BSN, came to Vanderbilt in 2017, where she began working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. She subsequently transitioned into research and joined the Hartert team in 2021.
Blackshere, originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2010 from Pennsylvania State University. She started her career at Good Shepherd Hospital on a spinal cord injury unit, and later transitioned to the facilities’ Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
